Artist/Creator Interview 藝術家/創作者專訪
Q1. Tell us about yourself as an artist/creator. 請向我們簡要介绍一下您作為一位藝術家/創作者的背景和經歷。
我現在是一名網頁設計師。我畢業於美國舊金山藝術大學主修新媒體。
在學生的時候,我喜歡利用課餘時間塗鴉,這讓我感到放鬆。
畢業後,我成為一名網頁設計師,工作讓我的健康出了問題,所以我又開始學生時代的嗜好-繪畫。
目前我於 2022 年開始在 Instagram及FB 經營我的品牌-Fluffymuse Island。
除了創作一些海報之外,我還出了一些周邊商品,如紙膠帶、貼紙、鑰匙圈等。
I work as a web designer right now.
I studied New Media at the Academy of Art University in the US and graduated.
In my spare time as a student, I used to like doodling.
That certainly helped me to unwind.
A few years later, after working as a web designer, I felt burned out, so I started doodling again.
I began managing my brand, Fluffymuse Island, on Instagram in 2022.
In addition to creating some prints, I also created various stationary, like washitape, stickers,
keychains, etc.
Q2. What inspired your cover design for Mossery? 是什麼啟發了你的這個封面設計？
我一直從大自然中汲取靈感,就像我的品牌強調植物和動物一樣。
我希望每個人都能因使用我的品牌而體驗到快樂和幸福。
那麼因為Mossery這個品牌在每個人的日常生活中給人一種安心、溫柔和創造力的形象與我自己的品牌非常相似,

I’ve always drawn inspiration from nature, just as my brand emphasizes flora and animals.
I hope that everyone may experience joy and happiness as a result of using my brand.
In that case, Mossery feels incredibly reassuring, gentle, and creative in everyone’s daily life.
Since that representation is quite similar to my own brand, I drew an illustration of a woodland piano
performance to convey the joy of nature and everyday life in the cover design.
Q3. Describe your artistic style and influences. 請描述一下您的藝術風格和受到影響的因素。
Tove Jansson 影響了我的藝術風格,以及我品牌中的角色和我的繪畫技巧。
我喜歡用細膩的線條去繪畫,最近則是經常留意場景的光影變化。
Tove Jansson has affected my artistic style, as well as the characters in my brand and my drawing technique.
I enjoy delicately describing the objects through the line. These days, I often pay attention to how a scene is lit and shadowed.
Q4. What was your creative process for this design? 請分享一下您這個設計的創作過程。
當我設計封面時,我會思考這本手帳對人們的意義。
我想,葡萄從生長到收穫的過程可能像徵著如果你想預見豐收,就應該為此做好計劃。
I would think about the meaning of this planner to people while I designed the cover.
I thought that the process of growth to harvest grapes might symbolize if you would like to view the harvest then should make great plans for it.
Q5. Did you face any challenges during the creation? How did you overcome them? 在創作過程中是否遇到了任何挑戰？如果有的话，你是如何克服它們的？
我發現在創作的過程中最難的部分是為整個作品的場景上色及掌控光影的變化。

I find it tough to color the entire artwork and create a scene of light and shadow.
Sometimes I simply make adjustments as I draw, and other times I modify the color scheme once the entire image is complete.
Q6. Are there specific themes or messages you wanted to convey through the cover? 你希望通過這個封面傳達哪些信息？
我嘗試通過封面插畫傳達出在大自然中的日常樂趣。
I believe the message I was trying to get over with the cover was the delight of living a normal life in nature.
Q7. What is creativity mean to you? 創意對你而言是什麼
我的設計經常融入自然元素和日常生活的樂趣,因為我堅信創造力存在於我們生活中的各個面相。
My designs often incorporate elements of nature and the joy of everyday life since I firmly think that creativity is present in all aspects of our lives.
Q8. What emotions do you hope people feel when they see your cover? 您期待別人看到你的封面時，它會帶給人們什麼樣的情緒？
通過我的封面設計,我希望人們體驗到生活的樂趣和療癒。
Through the design of my cover, I hope people experience the delight of living a normal life and comfort.
Q9. What advice do you have for aspiring artists or creators who want to make their mark in the industry? 對於那些初入行的藝術家或創作者，你有什麼建議？
由於我本身就是初入行的創作者,我想這題可能會成為我對自己的期望。
我願意探索更多的可能性。有時這可能會讓人不知所措,但我想始終善待自己,給自己足夠的時間來實現我的目標。
Due to the fact that I am new to the industry, I believe this may become my expectations for myself.
I want to be more willing to explore more possibilities.
This could be very overwhelming at times, but I want to always treat myself nicely and give myself enough of time to accomplish my goal.
